Hi! I’m a postdoc at the University of Alberta, advised by Ratmir Derda. I’m working on predicting carbohydrate-protein binding affinities using machine learning models. More broadly I’m interested in obtaining mechanistic, actionable insights in biology using systems modeling and data analysis.

I did my PhD and masters in computer science from Chennai Mathematical Institute. I was advised by Mukund Thattai at NCBS. I studied how the information conveyed by cell-surface carbohydrates (glycans) gets decoded. Take a look at my publications or thesis to know more.

Prior to that, I obtained by B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Calicut.
